Sansiri conducts a thorough assessment of key sustainability issues to identify those that are essential for the organisation’s sustainable development.

This assessment considers the impacts experienced or anticipated on both internal and external stakeholders, while also reflecting their expectations across various dimensions: economic and corporate governance, environmental, and social, including impacts related to human rights.

The process for assessing and prioritise significant sustainability issues at Sansiri comprises the following steps:

01

Sustainability Operations
01
Identifying Impacts and Key Sustainability Issues
Sansiri identifies both positive and negative impacts that have occurred or may occur as a result of its core operations in the real estate sector. This identification is informed by an analysis of international sustainability trends, the operations of real estate companies both domestically and internationally, as well as stakeholder opinions and expectations gathered through various channels such as questionnaires and interviews.
02
Assessing Impacts and Key Sustainability Issues
Sansiri evaluates the level of impact, both positive and negative, in the economic, social, and environmental spheres on its seven stakeholder groups: investors and shareholders, management and employees, customers, tenants and residents, communities and society, business partners, government agencies, and competitors. This assessment includes surveys conducted with stakeholders to capture their expectations and concerns regarding the effects of the organisation’s operations.
03
Prioritising Sustainability Issues
Sansiri prioritises significant sustainability issues based on an analysis of the expected and concerning impacts on stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the real estate business model. The results of this prioritisation are presented to the Corporate Governance and Sustainability Committee for review and approval prior to their inclusion in the annual sustainability report and on the Company's website.
04
Sustainability Operations
Sansiri has developed a comprehensive sustainability strategy, encompassing specific goals and timelines for achieving them, based on the assessment results of endorsed sustainability issues and the establishment of indicators for monitoring performance against the objectives of each key issue. Regular reporting of sustainability performance, which includes potential challenges and issues in achieving these goals, is mandated for the Corporate Governance and Sustainability Committee twice a year. Additionally, the Sustainability Working Team provides quarterly performance reports to senior management to ensure that Sansiri’s sustainability initiatives are effective and aligned with the Company’s overarching sustainability strategy.
