Waste to Worth: 1 Project, 1 Product

In 2025, Sansiri initiated a campaign to promote the upcycling of waste materials from construction projects in alignment with the Circular Economy, titled "Waste to Worth: 1 Project, 1 Product." This initiative encompasses over 80 construction projects throughout Thailand. Each project is mandated to produce at least one product from waste materials, thereby supporting effective construction waste management and facilitating the distribution of these products to surrounding communities for their use.
This project, in collaboration with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), under the "15-Minute Park" policy, aims to create public spaces that enhance citizens' quality of life. The resulting products, including exercise equipment made from cement scraps, park benches constructed from tile box straps, and chairs sourced from scrap metal, have been successfully implemented at Wat Mai Bamrung Tham School in Suphan Buri Province and in public spaces such as Ekkamai Forest Park in the Watthana District. The projects exemplify local initiatives and participation in sustainable waste management efforts.
The project utilises the specialised knowledge and skills of Sansiri's internal employees to design products, supported by Sansiri's team of architects, engineers, and construction personnel, ultimately transforming them into tangible products.
Key outcomes of the project include:
- Construction waste was reduced by 45 tons, representing a 71% reduction compared to the total waste volume in 2024.
- Increased recycle rate in construction sites by 54%.
- Reduce greenhouse gas emission by over 5.4 tons of CO2 equivalent.
- Produced over 150 pieces of upcycling products using recycled materials.
