Sansiri Sustainable Design

The company prioritise environmental management throughout the value chain, considering the impacts during the building's lifecycle, from design and construction to customer and resident use. This commitment is realised under the Sansiri Sustainable Design concept, a sustainability framework that encompasses all stages of project development. It integrates environmental, health, and resource efficiency principles through four core pillars.

  • Cooliving Design ensures coolness and comfort in the Thai climate by utilising materials and technologies that minimize heat accumulation. Consider incorporating tinted green glass, reflective roof paint, and natural ventilation to enhance comfort, energy efficiency, and environmental sustainability.
  • Resource Efficiency promotes the efficient use of energy and water through the installation of solar panels, water-saving sanitary ware, water filtration systems, and water storage tanks, as well as LED lighting systems and inverter air conditioners. Additionally, utilise prefabricated construction materials to reduce waste and construction time.
  • Green Material selects materials that prioritise health safety and minimise environmental impact. Our choices include VOC-free paints, laminate and SPC flooring that comply with air quality standards, food-safe artificial stone for kitchens, environmentally certified tiles, prefabricated roofing, and specialty cements that reduce carbon emissions.
  • Health & Well-being designs living spaces prioritising health and quality of life, incorporating elements such as dust-free environments, air purifiers, fresh air systems, ergonomic furniture, touchless devices, green spaces, organic vegetable gardens, and designs that accommodate the elderly, children, and pets.

This concept is rather than just a mere framework, but a practical implementation, as demonstrated by its application in various Sansiri projects, including low-rise developments in the Setthasiri Sector and high-rise projects in The Base, dCondo, Valles HAUS, and Widen segments. The integration of environmentally friendly materials and innovations in both residential and communal areas highlights Sansiri's commitment to developing homes that serve residents while effectively conveying the value of sustainability to society and the global community.

Through ongoing sustainability initiatives, Sansiri presently features properties that possess internationally recognised building management certifications. The flagship high-rise residential project, 98 Wireless, obtained LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council in 2017, representing approximately 2% of the total completed high-rise residential projects in its portfolio since that year.

Additionally, Siri Campus was awarded Fitwel 3-star certification by the Centre for Active Design in 2020, demonstrating Sansiri's dedication to the continuous and systematic enhancement of quality and sustainability in property management. Furthermore, more than three projects have achieved ISO 14064-3:2019 certification, which assesses greenhouse gas emissions and allows Sansiri to benchmark against the Thailand Taxonomy criteria for setting targets and implementing reductions in greenhouse gas emissions for its residential projects.

Moreover, all new high-rise developments by Sansiri are designed to adhere to the Building Energy Code (BEC), Thailand's standard for energy efficiency, in order to promote effective energy utilisation and mitigate environmental impact. This strategy is regarded as a crucial approach to enhancing building quality and overall environmental management within the Company.
